Sustainable Tourism Researcher & Writer

D.DP · March 2026 - Present

Independently research and publish long-form, articles on sustainable tourism and environmental practices across global destinations including Bhutan, Indonesia, and Costa Rica. Every destination has a sustainability story. Most of them go untold. I believe awareness is the first step to action. The tourism industry has an enormous footprint and an equally enormous potential to heal. My goal is to make travellers active, conscious participants in that shift. Better informed travellers make better choices. If you care about travel that goes deeper, you are in the right place.

Sustainable Tourism in Costa Rica

I dig deep through the destinations the way most people do not— cross-referencing local initiatives, community-led programmes, and government policies and translate them into writing that makes sustainable travel accessible, inspiring, and real. It is visiting beyond the tourist trail, into the food systems, the energy policies, the ancient wellness traditions, and the conservation efforts that rarely make it into a travel guide. How a place grows and sources its food, how it powers its homes, how it protects its biodiversity, how traditional practices have quietly sustained both people and ecosystems for centuries. And depending on where I go, every destination reveals its own unique layer worth exploring.

My Green Neighbourhood Campaign

An SDG campaign, designed in association with Institute of Town Planners, India to enagage school students and use critical and practical knowledge to make changes in their neighbourhood civic planning, to make it environmentally friendly and accessible to all. The Campaign is modified according to the age category to engage maximum participation. It combines World Environment Day and Water Day as the main focus of the campaign design.

Menstrual Health and Hygiene Campaign

A mestrual campaign desgined for schools in India, educating girls, mothers and boys about mesturation, the taboos that come with it and how to break them, mentrual hygiene especially in rural areas, awareness about puberty and sample distribution.
